We will miss our sweet dog, Annatto

I felt he said it perfectly

Thank you
From my son Austin:
Whoever said that a dog is a mans best friend sure wasn’t lying and I sure hope that all dogs really do go to heaven because I’d really like to see my best friend again. Yesterday was one of the hardest days in my life I’ve had to face. Having to put down my best friend Leroy. He was 15 years old. When I first became a foster child to be later adopted my my forever family we went to St. John’s Arizona to a county fare and we bought our first family dog anatto or as I like to call him “ol Leroy” he was such a kind loving gentle soul and he had such an impact on me growing up. 15 years is a long time, but is also such a short time that we have with our animals. They say “they may only be here for part of your life. But to him you’re their whole life” I know every dog would give their life for their family and I wish as human being especially during these times could be more like good ol dogs. I’ve always had a special bond with dogs and there’s just something about them that brings a smile to a lot of people’s lives. I’ll miss him each day and pray I get to see him again just like others we’ve lost along the road of life. I hope he’s up there along side (my biological) Dad at the lake in heaven having a good time running around chasing the birds just like he did here. I’ll miss you Leroy and I will always carry you in my heart. Until we meet again at the Gates my friend.

He was the first one of our neighbors to come hang out with us when we moved into the neighborhood. Such a good dog!!

Mom and I were talking about this yesterday. We know heavenly Father created all animals and they all have a purpose, but He made dogs to love us like nothing else loves us. My heart hurts for you guys!
So very sorry
Anna
SOOOO many hugs to all the family. These babies are absolutely our family member and we love them every bit as much as if we gave birth to them. Love and tender prayers of comfort to all of you on the passing of your precious Annatto
our sincere condolences on the passing of Annatto, who was family.

He lived a long and wonderful life and knew he was loved.
I'm gonna miss "BIG BOY!"
It was a beautiful weekend saying our goodbyes,

lots of little tears. Thank you to all those who gave me some wonderful advice on how to have closure for children losing a lifelong furry friend.
September 10
Sometimes normal life can be a little tough and get you down
But then God sends beautiful tender mercies to brighten your day! And oh what a joy this was

I was called in to an emergency teaching sub position this morning and it happened to be the band teacher. I got to help and video this beautiful moment. Jane turned 97 years old and the Snowflake Highschool Marching Band paraded in front of her house to help celebrate 97 years
and 5 year generations graduating from Snowflake Highschool

Congratulations
on such a beautiful life and legacy she built

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
Weekly Wellness zoom tonight at 6:30. Would love to see you
learn together and connect. Thank you Dr. Brett Brimhall for educating us on the brain. If you look at my kids’ MRI, their cerebellum is deformed and shrunk. (The Neurodegenerative disease that they have, caused that defect. -but they are still cute
) They should not be walking, talking or having motor functioning. Yes, it’s still a little different than others how they get from point A to point B and how they get things done but they are becoming successful! What can we do to optimize your brain?

Please reach out if you would like the link for this evening.
September 17Yay!!! Exploring Art began back in person again

Learning about Leonardo da Vinci, sculpting etc. Had a fun successful class yesterday. Love the excitement of these kiddos

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
remember when we were younger life seemed just a little bit simpler, not as fast paced, we weren’t wearing seatbelts, helmets, we ran and played where we wanted. I feel like we just naturally ate healthier back then! We ate what grandma grew and what she told us too. We have so many more chemicals added to the food and the things we drink and the air we breathe. Life is just different now! And we have to “biohack and fight back our poor hijacked bodies.”
As my daughter Charlotte would say. I don’t know why my kids have an auto immune Neuro degenerative disease but we do all we can to fight back
please reach out to me and let me know if you would like to join us this evening. Last week we talked on traumatic brain injury. It’s a great Conversation and education. Connecting is so important, especially right now. Stay well

Who knew? What fun
it’s been a crazy few months and a pretty emotional week.

Thank you sister for taking my kids this weekend and my husband and I jumped in the motorhome and just drove.
We found ourselves camping in the forest near Strawberry, AZ last night and then ended up in Jerome, Arizona today. So much spooky ghost town history!
Absolutely loved the art district. Can’t wait to bring my Exploring Art class back here. Went to amazing Art Studios in the old high school that closed in the 1970s and got to hang out with local artists. Inspired

Love you Loren! Thank you for being a good sport
I love what my good friend, Vandee, said it’s OK to take a break, just don’t quit.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of the moment until it becomes a memory” -Dr. Suess
If you ask Harrison, a favorite time of year... is when he gets to put his Halloween costume on, eat a haunting dinner and decorate for Halloween.
September 29“Mom look
” He was so excited that he passed off this many flashcards!
He couldn’t wait to tell his daddy and his big sisters
and so many sight words too!! (and his first library card)
My heart is so full and I am so proud of him! He is so eager to learn and such a sponge. He got so far behind being stuck in self-contained
. I’m so glad I have made the decision to keep him home and teach him. Thank you to all those who have supported me keeping him home and catching him up!
Hmmm... he wears a hearing aid, walks a little different, stutters and his fine motor skills aren’t up to par.... Oh, but his desire to learn, grow and develop just like other kids

I wish I had it recorded,
but he fell over in his chair being silly super excited and said, “I wish the teachers could see I’m smart.” Can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings

I have taught second and third grade so I’m beyond excited to bring him up to grade level.
Yay Harrison

Harrison was excited to be Spiderman and Kalicia, really!!!
I had know idea she could climb. She shocked herself. She didn’t know either
She went over 50 feet because she tried.

Wow!! Caroline committed to trying next time, which is totally ok. She was too weak, but next time, oh ya
And Harrison and Charlotte went about 10-15 feet. Woo hoo!! Only higher the next time!! Ok, I will commit to trying next time too

We can all do hard things!!! Do you let your fears stop you? What is your VISION? Do YOU let your fears stop you?
We can all do hard things! This little girl, Charlotte Merrill, has cerebral palsy. She spoke and sang with so much passion at the Anaheim convention center in front of 6000 people. She is on a mission to help others see their VISION!! Do you let your fear stop you is the big question? She loves to help others overcome their obstacles of fear and recognizing they are strong! She is passionate about the song “Let it Go” and the message it shares. Stand and stay strong!
Become unmovable!!

These teenage girls said “Faith over Fear!!”
When you do hard things, you’ll go higher than you think!” -Charlotte
My girls had so much fun rock climbing and wanted to share it with their friends!
And all these girls rocked it!

They were afraid, but they did it and they went higher than they thought! I think that’s one of my favorite quotes I heard Charlotte say! “When you do hard things, you’ll go higher than you think!!” And they said when you do it again and again you get better and better and higher and higher!! They went higher the second time! Great practice and thoughts for everyday life Kalicia cracks me up and makes me dance with happiness! She brings such joy to our family.
Happy Birthday to this incredible selfless girl
She loves and cares for so many. I love her passion of including and loving everyone no matter what
She truly has the best heart

Oh and what a glorious reunion it was!
Quick and short but lots of hugs and lots of fun! The kids were so giddy to see their big brother! It’s been eight years getting our son home. Picked him up at the bus stop at 5 AM. I’ll always have a visual of my husband wrapping my son in his arms, just getting off the bus. And I got my last three big hugs right before we checked him in and dropped him off. It was great to have my other big boy on FaceTime as we chatted and carried on.
