Last night was the Festival of Carols at EAC. I played oboe. It's been an adventure learning this instrument. I had told my parents about the concert but they were headed to Tucson and getting ready for another trip so it didn't look like they'd be coming. I was so surprised and happy they came! It was also fun to see a friend, Anna Pember Merrill, from my meditation group that came to see her daughter perform. Fun times! Tracy came to support as well but I didn't get a picture with him.

We thought we were going to walk 2.5 miles but following the trail of art in Miami with the Art Basel, got a little distracted and we ended up walking over 12 miles. My favorite was the Art along the beaches and boardwalk. I love all the different cultures coming together in Miami. …. I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since our trip, diving back into normal life, after celebrating our 24th anniversary on a cruise, given to us through our company. Loved getting to spend time with some of our business partners and dearest friends! I still think some of our favorite moments were the late night games, laughing and talking. The break was wonderful and so needed. Our phones and technology were cut off completely for several days. And my kids did sooooo well, I was so nervous. I have been called to serve in the Alpine German-Speaking Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!!

I am so excited!! I get to serve in the same country my daddy served in 1993.

WOW The meaning of teamwork is helping each other and showing up! When Charlotte was trying to climb the wall in the obstacle course, it was incredible to see how people came together, adjusted, to help somebody become successful! After her 11th try, she made it to the top with some Team support! 

Yay!!! They took the bronze this weekend!! Third place!! Congratulations!! To a team where friendships are made, confidence is built and skills are learned! So proud of this incredible team and the kindness and sportsmanship they have towards each other. I love Sundays, especially the Sunday before Christmas. A time to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ. I love the Hymns celebrating the birth of our Savior and the extra time and traditions we spend with family, making memories. Caroline was so nervous and excited to speak in church today She practiced pronouncing all the tough words, using her speech therapy skills before the big moment. Caroline spoke so precisely and clearly. I was so excited for her. She spoke on the topic, the Church of Joy, Christ’s Church and what joyful reverence looks like. It looks different for everyone. Some are taught folding our arms tightly around our chests, bowing our heads, closing our eyes, and holding still but for her… I love that she said if “Jesus Christ walked into the room right now, I would drop my crutches run to him and hug him!” Thank you Caroline for sharing your love and testimony of our Savior.
