I am Beyond grateful this morning that I get to be a little fly on the wall, a parent on the sidelines, watching my three girls having a successful time at their Youth Conference at NAU. “For the Strength of Youth” is an incredible youth development program, they stay in dorms for a week at Northern Arizona University, go to classes, dances, programs and have wonderful strength building activities. I was so excited several months ago and wanted to sign my kids up for this, but due to their cerebral palsy, they were not going to be able to go and it’s tough for Kalicia to be the caregiver. (This is a situation I run into often in their lives) I can’t tell you how amazed, with heart felt thanks & tears, I am so grateful that they’re letting me stay in this motorhome in the parking lot, sneaking in and out and helping with morning and night routines and any other little instances where they will be an “undue hardship on others” during the day. I really try to be a present mom in their lives and help them be successful. But I’m not supposed to be here typically 
I’m sneaking around in the background (with administration/counselors knowing where I’m helping) hiding- showing up where they need me and then disappearing again. This program is incredible and they’re allowing my kids to be here. 
They are growing changing and becoming independent! Just like our youth need to be.

The girls had a wonderful time at FSY at NAU. And Harrison had the privilege to ride in the Derby on the Deuce in a memorial car for our beloved, physical therapist, Cheryl Byrd. we love her family and enjoyed a nice barbecue with all the fish they caught this evening 
and just a little sidenote life isn’t always perfect, lots of trials on the way but who wants to see those pictures. 
Lol! One of our cars was totaled this week and a horse and I collided heads in a little horse accident. That just goes to show what a miracle it is to come together again as a family after we all have gone our separate ways) But my kids say we just keep moving forward “forward is forward no matter the pace.” #madnesswiththemerrillbudz #mindset #spiritualjourney #loveothers #merrillsworktogetherplaytogetherstaytogether #everyonehappierandhealthier #trialsbuildusstonger

we took a little break from building our ranch fence to play in our newly filled pond it’s going to be fun and beautiful when my vision is finished. Boys/friends had fun introducing the ducks to the pond.

) In the summer, we make a living spending time with family, playing games, traveling and working hard outside. We also are very passionate about helping others with health, finances and fun!!! Activating bodies to work at their best Everyone Happier and Healthier!! All through the school year we are also teachers 
we love educating the young and old. Loren is a World and American History teacher. He also teaches government/politics/economics. (Without an opinion-I believe that takes talent!) 
I love teaching art and illustrating books. We also enjoy coaching sports, we specifically work with Special Olympics UNIFIED in the White Mountains of AZ -Swim, bocce, basketball, cheer and track. We love people!! They are amazing

with Cerebral Palsy. We decided this last year to up our game and learn more about horses. We bred our mare, had a new baby horse, learned skills/catheter a horse to keep that little guy alive, pounded over a thousand feet of ranch fence (with some scary injuries) and bought new reigns and attempted with new skills to start reigning, didn’t go over well. Loren had a bit of a horse accident today, the horse ended up on his leg. Grateful we had doctors at our home for a little conference at the time, able to get care that he needed quickly. Lots of little blessings and lots of little tears and frustration and pain. We got Loren rested and Kalicia with a bit of tears and I went back out to our little ranch again. We decided there was truly a reason for that phrase, “… to get back on the horse.” We were nervous, our hearts were pounding, we discovered our mistakes by reaching out to knowledgeable horse owners, and tried again!! 
It became a beautiful, calm, successful evening with my daughter and our horses! As she climbed off the horse at the end of the day, she declared the phrase…. “We conquered the Day!!” I was so grateful that I helped my daughter to push forward together, even though we were both nervous and not confident I Good things can happen when you overcome fear! #madnesswiththemerrillbudz #merrillsworktogetherplaytogetherstaytogether #cerebralpalsyhacked #hippotherapy
