Fall is here!! and State Swim meet!

 making her own Wonder Woman Costume!!

 They loved that fact that no matter where you moved, her eyes are always looking into your eyes. Also, her facial expression is very mysterious. Is she happy or sad? What is she thinking about? Each artists picked a piece of the Mona Lisa, and we pieced the puzzle together when they were finished. Studying each part, brought up great discussions!👨🏻‍🎨👩🏻‍🎨

 So I'm right at my five weeks, after shoulder surgery and finally got permission to get back to exercising! Can't believe I never thought of this, but my physical therapist suggested I run bleachers at the Taylor rodeo grounds! One of my favorite exercises, bleachers!! Completely blew highschool football bleachers out the water!💦 and the reward at the top was amazing! You could see all of Taylor and Snowflake!!🤗

 My Children stay up late and work so hard on their school work.  The teachers sometimes struggle on making accommodations. They seem to know what to do at Taylor Intermediate and at the Elementary. But, at the Junior high it's pretty miserable with the teachers.  They just want to put my kids with disabilities in Self contained and I have to continually advocate for them!  Charlotte's goal is to get all A's. She stays up late and works so hard and some teachers, just don't get it. But, we do have a few incredible teachers there that she just loves.  We are so grateful to them!  She loves choir, FACS and Math and it's because the teachers expect things out of her and she is becoming successful in those classes.  Caroline too is having success in fourth grade. Can't wait til she gets to Mrs. Caldwell's class in 6th grade.  My children soar in her class.  This has been Kalicia's best year!  She has taken off in all subjects and even got on the Honor Roll!  Harrison is loving Kindergarten and Ms. Romney is so kind and patient with him.

 
 My Sweet Caroline has loved taking a theater class @ccpastudio . She is so thrilled about her certificate!! Thank you for being such wonderful directors and teachers. Thank you for having inclusion and allowing the kids to work, play, sing, dance, act and be together. She's been practicing her song for "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas " tryouts. She can't wait!! She's just so excited to be apart of it!! 🤗❤️#ccpastudio #cerebralpalsy

We were a bit devastated the next day when they canceled the State Swim meet during the competition due to poop in the pool, ugh!  So we quickly moved the swim meet to the Show Low pool the following Monday to complete the competition!

 Can't let these kids down! They work so hard!

 


 

 "Turn your steps into wishes!" What a memorable weekend!! From state special Olympics unified event competitions to a chance to give back!! It was so amazing to watch these young kids/teenagers/friends have a chance to meet up with other kids with struggles. I love what Unified has helped these young people to understand:). Everyone struggles differently!!

This lady has so much love and compassion. She works so hard to make sure our little town is unified. When our kids are disappointed or sad so is she. She is a great leader,teacher, supporter and cheerleader. Her faith shines thru so brightly. Her and her family are a great example to everyone who knows them. . . We are so blessed to have the Merrill 's in our lives! Thanks for taking my boys to do the make a wish walk and church and everything else you do for us year after year! We love you guys
